I got into DJ'ing because of my love of hiphop. I'd been just a listener for a few years so I decided to take it to the next step. I see DJ'ing as a way of being part of what I love and being behind the decks allows me to  'play' with music and re-arrange it how I like in real time. I choose to use Vinyl because I find it more hands on, plus there's so many cool tricks you can do on turntables that CD decks just can't re-create.

I tend to play the tracks which I think people will dance to and not just what's in the charts, as some people seem to think the genre just consists of Eminem and 50 Cent. So I try to play a lot of album cuts

and any promos I can get my hands on as well as EP's and some rare stuff, you might even hear a little R n'B to keep the girls happy.I currently have experience playing in a couple of local bars in my area, Mission in Yarmouth for exampleand have spent a lot of time putting together mixtapes which I sold in specialist music shops in my area and

in London.

I have a lot of influences including DJ Rectangle, Green Lantern, Semtex, Blakey, Premier, The  X'ecutioners, basically any DJ that doesn't have to yell and make stupid noises all night to cover for their ack of turntable skills. I've tried to craft my own style of mixing the tracks I think work well together as well as adding in the occasional scratch or trick (I know a few) to keep things fresh. I'm also getting to know my way around an effects pad which adds a whole new element. I have passion for good music, and a passion for turntablism which I try to express during my sets and I

think shows when I play out.
