Jefferson’s reputation as a DJ was firmly established at
Manchester’s famous DryBar (as seen in the film, 24 Hour Party
People). His Friday night residency included an eclectic 6 hour mix
of House, Techno and other worldwide rhythms using traditional
turntables and AbletonLive. It has since become apparent that Ricardo has even more to offer and he is now creating his own unique vision for dance music of the future. September 2006 saw Ricardo’s track, 2.22 (the apetrain) appear in Ben Watt’s, ‘Buzzin’ Fly’ chart. Ricardo’s name was also mentioned in issue 27 of Buzzin Fly’s ezine, ‘A Fly In your Eye,’ as one to watch out for. Ricardo has recently directed a music video for the DJ/Producer Magik Johnson (NRK/Underwater) for his track, ‘Naughty Girl,’ which has been shown on MTV and other music channels. 2007 sees the release of
Ricardo’s debut four track e.p. release of original material on
Third Ear Records (London/Tokyo) and a re-mix from Magik Johnson for
2.22 (the apetrain). He is also currently producing and directing
two more music video productions with the artist LauraLee. |
