Mike Z is a DJ/ Audio
Engineer / Producer based out of NYC but is
originally from Philadelphia. His DJ style consists of everything
from
wicked floor slamming funky breaks to deep progressive & tech house.
He started DJing at the age of 15 after discovering a new outlet for
his
love of rhythm and mixing experimental sounds. Eventually after a
couple
of years of DJing and attending local parties he incorporated his
niche
for technology by studying Audio Engineering. Now with several years
of
professional experience in NYC recording studios, he now owns along
with
a partner a recently created fully functional home studio and record
label (Ghetto Zen Records). Along with his personal musical projects
he
also works

Mike can be heard playing various venues through out the (USA) east
coast with plans on going international and on Monday nights at
midnight
EST live on the web via
www.Downshiftradio.com. His sets include a story
told musical experience of underground sounds. While making people
dance
is always a priority when playing out, he also tries to leave the
listener
with a memorable event by cuing up a mixture of rhythmic tunes.
